VEHICLE SEARCH SITE: AUTOBYTEL GOES TO THE NEXT LEVEL

autobytel myride.com

February 5, 2007—Autobytel, Irvine, Calif., announced the upcoming launch of its next-generation consumer Web site, MyRide.com, which the company calls the “first fully integrated automotive vertical search experience.” Coming in second-quarter 2007, MyRide deeply integrates automotive content with categorized vehicle search results from across the Web, and will offer more marketing points for dealers, automakers, and other service providers. Using MyRide.com, the company said, consumers can easily find a new or used car, car parts, accessories, and even local businesses for service and repair. It will also trade the typical postage stamp–size photos and limited video of most automotive sites for such visual elements as full-screen vehicle images, as well as expanded video capability. Said Autobytel president and CEO Jim Riesenbach, “We believe MyRide.com will give frustrated consumers much-needed relief while providing unique marketing opportunities for the automotive industry.
