‘LIFELINE TO PROFIT$’ WORKSHOP DRAWS NEARLY 200

Lifeline to Profit$ workshop

“Lifeline to Profit$”: NADA's popular seminar draws high attendance.

February 9, 2008—Nearly 200 dealers from all over the globe attended a ‘Lifeline to Profit$’ workshop in the Moscone Center South building on Friday afternoon. It was the first NADA seminar to be held a day before the convention’s official opening on Saturday. NADA’s Dealership Operations group decided to host the free workshop in conjunction with the NADA show after bringing the program to hundreds of dealers in cities nationwide over the last two years.

Randy Brenckman, director of marketing for NADA’s Dealership Operations group, said Friday’s workshop was planned with little idea for how many dealers would attend. The high attendance is no doubt a sign of the increasingly difficult times for some dealers. Gavin Leach, a Ford dealer from London, jotted down ways to make his service department more efficient by making the most of his service technicians’ time on the clock. “Right now, our tech gets the cars and moves them, and that’s valuable time we can be using in other ways,” he said.
