What are you targeting at the show and what do you see for the coming year?

We are really focusing on DMS systems and used-car market comparison systems. We are a large organization and we need database organization so we can direct a lot of attention to our own customer. We need things that will help us manage our e-leads as well. Business is OK, a bit of a downturn at some stores, but other of our dealerships are doing well.

We are building a new “green” Toyota facility, so I have six managers here with me and we are looking at everything—from telephone systems to e-managed skylights. Our economy is still strong, with lots of construction, and the car market is holding up nicely. We expect an excellent year.

We are here visiting from Brazil, looking for new ideas that we don’t have yet in our home country. There are many interesting things. We gather information from the factories about alternate fuel cars since we have a great many cars that run on ethanol in Brazil. We are very much enjoying it here is San Francisco.

We are expecting business to be a little sluggish, so we’re here looking for things that create efficiency to help prop us up during the short term; but we fully expect things will get better once we get past the election and the economy settles down.
