TODAY’S
QUESTION:
What have you found at this year’s convention that you can take home to enhance business?
|
 |
Knowledge! The convention is a great place to learn—great workshops and seminars. We’ve researched some computer software with hopes of creating some efficiency on the back end. We’re also building a wish list for new equipment.
Tim Nault, Frei Chevrolet, Marquette, Mich. |

We need to get more people through the door, so we’ve been looking at a lot of lead-generation software and systems—especially those with new ideas. We’ll sort them out and find the best one that will give us the best ROI.
Richard Holt, Anderson Ford of Omaha (Neb.) |
 |
Coming to the convention has recharged our batteries. This time we needed to find the right kinds of things that will move us to a stronger position on the Internet and software that will help us to measure price and position our inventory and that will compare vehicles in our market. We’ve also found some really good books to take back.
Tim Neuville, Neuville Motors, Waupaca, Wis. |

Workshops on succession, service, and leadership have really added to our knowledge base. We have also found some important upgrades for our CRM systems. We’ve got some good things to take back with us.
Ron and Lorianne Claudon, Valley Pontiac/Buick/GMC, Auburn, Wash. |
 |
We’ve spent a lot of time comparing some of the new and traditional DMS providers. We’ve also spent considerable time at workshops that focused on the Internet and on fixed side costs. Succession issues also are important for us.
